Casa Sol e Mar is a mixing element of traditional local architecture with contemporary Portuguese decor. This three-story property blends in harmoniously with its unspoiled surroundings in Salema, a picture-perfect coastal village. In just a few steps you are on the beach.

The Interior:

The whitewashed residence, which blends into the environment and respects the surrounding nature, boasts two studio suites on the first and second floors. The property consists of two large ensuite bedrooms one on the first floor and the other on the second floor, a fully equipped kitchen on the second floor, and a lounge on the third floor that is complemented by access to an ample terrace located on the top floor.

The Exterior:

On the rooftop, there is a fully furnished sunroof terrace with an outdoor dining area. While the shops and restaurants of Salema are a leisurely walk away, the main attraction is the beautiful stretch of golden sand beach. Just a mere 3 metres away from the beach, means you can roll out of bed and onto the sand in seconds.

The rooftop terrace is fully furnished and includes a shaded dining table with chairs for 6 people. There is also a BBQ, sun loungers, and parasols.

The Location:

Known for its beautiful unspoiled beaches. Salema is a must for those of you who are beach lovers and wish to get away from it all. The sandy beach is gently sloping, ideal for swimming, and safe for children. There is a service of a lifeguard in the summer months. The seawater quality is excellent.

There are a couple of bars and restaurants in Salema, a handful of gift shops, and some convenience stores. The city of Lagos to the east and Sagres to the West are just 15 km away. The west coast of the Algarve can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. There you can find sandy beaches stretching down the cliffs for miles. If you want to do more than just lie on the beach there are golf, tennis courts, spas, horseback riding, boats, and places to walk all within a few miles. From the beach cliffs, there are also great launching points for practicing paragliding.

About 300m beneath the waters of Salema Beach you can also visit the French warship L'Ocean, sunk during the Seven Years' War.

Strictly no smoking and no pets.

No groups of young adults under 25 permitted.

We do try to keep the photographs and descriptions up to date, however, furnishings, the layout and décor can sometimes change before information is updated here.

The information provided is a guideline only.

On public holidays there is no maid service.

AL/16943.

The villas are given a thorough maid service prior to your arrival. During your stay, if you are scheduled to have a maid service, generally, their duties are to wipe down the kitchens and bathrooms, plus sweep/vacuum the floors. They are not able to do washing up, loading/unloading the dishwasher, laundry, ironing, or requests. So they can do their job efficiently please ensure surfaces are clear. If a towel change is scheduled, this only means the bath and hand towels and not pool towels if provided.

Extra maid service is sometimes available for an extra fee.

The local council charges a mandatory tourist tax in this location as follows:

5 night stay 01 March to 31 October = €7.50 per person 13 years old and over

6 night stay 01 March to 31 October = €9 per person 13 years old and over

7 night stay or more 01 March to 31 October = €10.50 per person 13 years old and over

There is no charge between 01 November and 31 March.
