Villa Saskia is a calming and tranquil holiday rental villa in Quinta das Salinas in The Algarve whose neutral design gives it a welcoming feel. This 4-bed villa is in a fantastic location being a short few minutes walk to the lake and also the boardwalk that goes along to the sand dunes to Praia Garrao. This is where you will find Beachside restaurants such as Julias and Izzys. Along the way, you will see the Iconic Gigis restaurant, 2 Passos, and The Bold Octopus.

The Interior:

As you enter through the main front door, you will make your way to a very bright and neutral living area. In the lounge area, you have plenty of seating where you can relax as a family. There is also a fireplace that can be used in winter months and a TV with Lazer TV Channels. In this living space, you have two patio doors that give direct access to the terrace and pool area. In the dining space, you have seating for 6 people and another patio door leading to the pool and terrace area. There is also Air conditioning on each side of this area.

The kitchen is accessed via the dining area or from the end of the entrance corridor. There is also a freezer located outside by the BBQ and also one in the utility room. The kitchen has a patio door that opens up to the outside BBQ area. Also on this level is a WC and there is underfloor heating throughout.

Bedrooms:

The villa has 4 ensuite bedrooms. Downstairs you have 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has access to the back of the house and is a twin room (can also be double) with a step-in shower. Bedroom 2 is opposite this room and has access to the front of the house. This room has a double bed with a bath that also has a handheld shower. Upstairs you have the remaining two bedrooms.

At the top of the stairs on the right is the master bedroom. This room is a spacious room containing a king bed, desk, small storage unit, two walk-in wardrobe sections, and a large ensuite with a separate bath and step-in shower. This room also has access to a large terrace that covers the length of the house, overlooking the pool and garden area. A great area to relax with a book and a cocktail! Bedroom 4 is on the left side at the top of the stairs and once again has a king bed, with a step-in bath and step-in shower. This bedroom also has a small private terrace at the front of the house. All bedrooms have Air conditioning units.

The Exterior:

At the front of the house outside you have a large calçada (traditional Portuguese cobbles) space, enough for 3 cars. The entrance has high palm trees and welcoming bougainvillea. At the back of the villa, you have a large south-facing pool (10x5m) with the option to be heated for an extra fee. The external dining space contains a gas BBQ, with a sink and freezer. Solid marble dining table for 6, wicker sofa seating, and sun loungers.

The Location:

Quinta das Salinas in The Algarve at less than 10 minutes walking distance to Praia do Ancão (beach). The Villa is also by the Boardwalk which goes from Quinta do Lago to Vale do Lobo, along the sand dunes and passing some very popular restaurants. Along the route you can access The Shack, Casa do Lago, Gigi’s, 2 Passos, The Bold Octopus and Julias to name a few. Read more about the boardwalk HERE. The area is surrounded by numerous golf courses and there are lots of activities to do. Quinta Shopping Centre and Vale do Lobo are also within a short drive as are some of the best restaurants in the area. With the beach, restaurants, and entertainment in close proximity, this is a fabulous location.

Property Rules

No groups of young adults under 25 permitted.

On Public holidays there is no maid service.

From 01 November 2024 a Mandatory tourist tax is charged to guests by the local council and must be paid before entry into Portugal. For arrivals between the 01 April – 31 October the charge is €10 per person and from 01 November – 31 March the charge is €5 per person. The charge is for each person 16 years and older at the time of travel and is due 14 days before arrival along with the refundable damages deposit.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations made more than 70 days prior to departure only the deposit will be retained by the Company.
Between 56 – 69 days prior to departure 50% of your holiday cost.
Between 48 – 55 days prior to your departure 75% of your holiday cost.
Between 0 – 47 days prior to departure 100% of your holiday cost is forfeited.
