Villa Mar à Vista is located on the clifftop of Praia de Salema, facing south, with breathtaking ocean views over Salema Beach and the amazing coastline. An outstanding contemporary luxury villa with 4 bedrooms and a private infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

The Interior:

A luxurious contemporary 4-bedroom villa consists of a welcoming lounge decorated with warm and exotic elements. Also on the ground floor is an extra-large, fully equipped open-plan kitchen that has a pantry and laundry. The dining area is equipped with a table and chairs, seating 8 people, and leads to the terrace. One of the bedrooms is also on this floor and has a double sofa bed. It also has a flat-screen TV, ocean views, and direct access to the terrace, as well as to the level terrace. A shower room is located in front of the bedroom.

The remaining 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor. A master bedroom with a king-size bed, breathtaking sea views, and an ensuite bathroom with a separate dressing room. The other two bedrooms are also spacious, with a double bed and they share a separate shower room.
All rooms have natural light and access to a large terrace, overlooking the coastline and the nearby Salema beach.

The Exterior:

The villa has a fabulous outdoor dining area, also for 8 people, with a portable Big Green Egg BBQ. You will enjoy the east and west-facing terraces with fabulous views of the coastline of Salema and Sagres. There is a gorgeous Infinity pool with complimentary heating that overlooks the coastline. The terrace has ocean views and is fully furnished with a lounge area, sun loungers, and parasols.

The Location:

Known for its beautiful unspoiled beaches. Salema is a must for those of you who are beach lovers and wish to get away from it all. The sandy beach is gently sloping, ideal for swimming, and safe for children. There is a service of a lifeguard in the summer months. The seawater quality is excellent.

There are a couple of bars and restaurants in Salema, a handful of gift shops, and some convenience stores. The city of Lagos to the east and Sagres to the West are just 15 km away. The west coast of the Algarve can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. There you can find sandy beaches stretching down the cliffs for miles. If you want to do more than just lie on the beach there are golf, tennis courts, spas, horseback riding, boats, and places to walk all within a few miles. From the beach cliffs, there are also great launching points for practicing paragliding.

About 300m beneath the waters of Salema Beach you can also visit the French warship L’Ocean, sunk during the Seven Years’ War.

Property Rules

Strictly no smoking and no pets.

No groups of young adults under 25 permitted.

We do try to keep the photographs and descriptions up to date, however, furnishings, the layout and décor can sometimes change before information is updated here. The information provided is a guideline only.

On public holidays there is no maid service.

AL – 17182.

The villas are given a thorough maid service prior to your arrival. During your stay, if you are scheduled to have a maid service, generally, their duties are to wipe down the kitchens and bathrooms, plus sweep/vacuum the floors. They are not able to do washing up, loading/unloading the dishwasher, laundry, ironing, or requests. So they can do their job efficiently please ensure surfaces are clear. If a towel change is scheduled, this only means the bath and hand towels and not pool towels if provided.

Extra maid service is sometimes available for an extra fee.

The local council charges a mandatory tourist tax in this location as follows:

5 night stay 01 March to 31 October = €7.50 per person 13 years old and over

6 night stay 01 March to 31 October = €9 per person 13 years old and over

7 night stay or more 01 March to 31 October = €10.50 per person 13 years old and over

There is no charge between 01 November and 31 March.
