Villa Saffron in Dunas Douradas is a luxurious five-bedroom villa perched on top of a hill overlooking Vale do Lobo beach from east to west. Whilst boasts incredible panoramic sea views and a just a stroll from the beach and restaurants where you will find also some of the best beachside restaurants in the area.

The Interior:

The ground floor consists of the main entrance hall, an open-plan lounge/dining area, and a fully fitted and equipped kitchen. There is also a small office/playroom adjacent to the living area, a double bedroom, and a shower room.
The main 3 bedrooms can be located on the first floor. All three share a large, south-facing terrace overlooking the pool and Atlantic Ocean. The spacious master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, also with a spectacular view. The double bedroom and the children’s bedroom (with bunkbeds and an additional pull-out single bed ) share a bathroom and also have access to the terrace and beautiful views.
The lower level has a feature window looking into the swimming pool, a TV area, a play area with table tennis, a pool table, and a stylish bar. The fifth and final bedroom is also on this level with a double bed. Overall, the property makes excellent use of natural lighting & all south-facing divisions have large glass areas to enjoy the amazing sea views.

The Exterior:

Outside you will find a beautiful and inviting pool surrounded by a decked terrace. Here there are plenty of sun loungers and a BBQ area with a dining table. The infinity swimming pool has a spectacular sea view with the beach under 150m away.

The Location:

Villa Saffron in Dunas Douradas is within a few minutes' walk you can be at the beach and ‘Julias’ beach and here are some fantastic beachside restaurants and bars. Also, just a 20-minute walk away is ‘the very well-known ‘Marias’ beachside restaurant.

The Villa is also close to the Boardwalk which goes from Quinta do Lago to Vale do Lobo, along the sand dunes and passing some very popular restaurants whilst taking in the beautiful scenery. You can access the boardwalk at Julia’s Beach (Praia do Garrão Nascente) and along the route, the restaurants you will come across include The Shack, Casa do Lago, Gigi’s, 2 Passos, The Bold Octopus, and Julias to name a few. A 20–25-minute walk along the beach will take you to The Praça, where you will find more of the best restaurants in the area, including Sandbanks, Monty’s, and Amore. There are some fantastic bars here too and there is evening entertainment through the summer. With everything on your doorstep, this property’s location is outstanding.
Within a few minutes drive, you also have lots of other restaurants, bars, activities, and amenities to choose from. All in all a great location.

Property Rules

Strictly no smoking and no pets.

No groups of young adults under 25 permitted.

We do try to keep the photographs and descriptions up to date, however, furnishings, the layout and décor can sometimes change before information is updated here. The information provided is a guideline only.

Complementary Vale do Lobo Resort Card: The memberships run from January to the end of December. Renewal is at the discretion of the owner and even if you have booked the villa for the subsequent year, we cannot guarantee the villa will still be a resort member. Membership renewals are updated by the end of January. If you are wanting to use the cards, please do check with us around the end of January.

On public holidays there is no maid service.

Please note, when booking pool heating the water temperature is dependent on the weather. This pool doesn’t have a pool cover which will affect maintaining the heat in the pool, especially if the weather is windy, raining, and/or the evenings are colder. We cannot guarantee the temperature of the water and it will generally only stay a few degrees above the outside temperature.

From 01 November 2024 a Mandatory tourist tax is charged to guests by the local council and must be paid before entry into Portugal. For arrivals between the 01 April – 31 October the charge is €10 per person and from 01 November – 31 March the charge is €5 per person. The charge is for each person 16 years and older at the time of travel and is due 10 weeks before arrival along with the balance payment for your holiday.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations made more than 70 days prior to departure, only the deposit will be retained.

Between 56 – 69 days prior to departure, 50% of your holiday cost will be retained.

Between 48 – 55 days prior to your departure, 75% of your holiday cost will be retained.

Between 15 – 47 days prior to departure, 95% of your holiday cost will be retained.

Between 0 – 14 days prior to departure, 100% of your holiday cost is forfeited.
